Sintered metal mesh filter tube & screen is the most simple form of sintered mesh filter elements.  Some tubes are bare tubes without any end fitting, while others may have simple O shape connecting and sealing adapter on both end.

Bare tubes can be used in air particle filters, Y-strainers, water filters. They are simple, durable, effective and often in small size. 5 layer standard and square weave sintered wire mesh are often used for bare tubes.

Big size sintered mesh filter tube & screen are often made of Type C sintered wire mesh with perforated metal sheet. They are the filter elements of automatic self-cleaning filter, for applications of ballast water treatment, cooling water filtration, and other high flow liquid filtration.

Hastelloy nickel based sintered mesh are often used for severely corrosive working conditions in these applications.

316  (1.4401), 316L (1.4404), 304, 304L  stainless steel are the among the standard material for sintered metal mesh filter tube & screen.

Other exotic materials are also available as request, such as 310S, 904L, Hastelloy C276, Hastelloy C22, Monel 400, Inconel 625, etc.
