2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Wire Mesh

Duplex stainless steel wire mesh can be made into filter element to sieve various materials in chloride corrosion environmental conditions. With good toughness and welding performance, it also can be used for infill panels or space divider. Duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy has twice the compressive strength compared with austenitic stainless steel. Compared with 316L and 317L, the designer can reduce the weight. The 2205 alloy is particularly suitable for use in the temperature range of -50°F/ 600°F, and can be used for lower temperatures under severe restrictions (especially for welded structures).

Plain woven wire mesh This kind of weaving, single weft and warp wires alternate over and under. The mesh is formed by perfect right angles. If necessary, the weft wire can be pre-crimped. The finest wire cloth manufactured using plain weave can have up to 8000 meshes per cm2. This maximum value applies to stainless steel; lower maximum values apply to wire cloths made of other materials. Plain weave is the most common type of weaving for most uses.
